INTRODUCTION OF THE DPIP IN THE DISTRICT OF BARAN :

The First phase of the programme was given to an NGO name Hadoti Shilp Sansthan Kota in the month of April 2000. In this phase  62 villages of Shahabad & Kishanganj were covered. On completion of the period of two years and further extension up to Aug.02 this NGO has failed in this programme and one of the projects could be completed. Due to failure of the DPIP programme in this phase the Govt. of Raj. And the District Adm. Baran has repeatedly pursued and requested our organization to take up the work of Second Phase in the interest of Poor village community. Because no actual work of income generation was given to the poor BPL Families.

The Second phase of the DPIP covering 155 villages of the Shahabad and Kishanganj block was ultimately handed over to us on in the month of Feb.02. We have accepted this project in the interest of the poor villagers so that good projects of income generation and land based activity can be prepared and implement. To start

with we have followed by SHG concept so that the villagers can adopt the saving habits and better group formation is possible.

The savings in the SHG account gives the help to create the working capital required in the project and also 10 percent amount of the project which is requirement of the DPIP concept.

New Concept of DPIP working being introduced by us :
Like to the revenue camps being organize by the Govt. We are also organizing such camps, where CIG formation , activity identification , approval of the CIG by the DPM unit and opening of bank account were is done on the spot.

We hope to save lot of field work by such camps to be organized at various potential villages in the area. In such camps Govt. officials, Revenue staff, Bankers, Public representative (Sarpanch) and the DPM officials including our staff is present.
