RD addressing SHG Meeting at Guna(Federation)

Sarva Jana Seva Kosh & Federation of Sarva Seva Nidhi Foundation :

Another step towards people staff management of project was the handing over of capital resource management  responsibilities to the people.

A new legal entity was established for this purpose under the name of Sarva Jana Seva Kosh & Federation of Sarva Seva Nidhi Foundation which assists the people in the mobilization of their financial resources and managing those for their own welfare without any outside intervention.

1. Open Membership : The membership is open to all members of Gramsabhas, men or women on a nominal share value of one rupee. The credit services are not linked to the member’s equity or saving deposits.

2. Managing Board as Mobiliser of External Resources :

3. Operational Flexibility of Branches : The operational functions are delegated to the branches each of which covers 10 to 20 villages. The Governing Body of a branch is elected from the constituent villages.

4. Collective Fund Management by People : The Gramsabhas rectification of a credit proposal is a must. The Gramsabhas keeps an imprest to meet emergency needs. Women who are more credit worth , benefit through women’s clubs. Vested with equal powers as the Gramsabhas. The funds mobilized in one village cannot be diverted to another one.

In this project one branch of S.J.S.K. Ltd.& Federation Is working successfully head quarters at Bhanwargarh, Guna, Garhi, and Anandpuri.

The managing board, elected by members , functions only as a coordinating body to mobilize and distribute external resources among the branches and to formulate policies for general working.

Thus the ASSEFA’s path leads to the Gram Swaraj which is ultimate goal. ASSEFA’s coverage fits in well with the operational mechanism grass root as well as at the policy levels.
